BIG NEWS!

My boyfriend and I made the trek across the US-of-A and landed in San Francisco last week.

We are so excited to call this city our home! After weeks of packing and planning, it feels great to finally settle into our new life out west. Still waiting on the movers to bring our furniture though…

While waiting on an actual bed and couch (helllooo air mattress life), we decided to take a fun little day trip to Sonoma. Surprisingly it’s only 45 minutes north of the city, so we rented a getaround car and drove up to wine country over the weekend to escape the post-moving madness.

Let me tell you, watching the rolling green hills and acres of vines pass by out my window was really magical. It honestly looked like we were driving through Tuscany! After many scenery-induced “oohs and aahhs”  we finally made it to Scribe Winery.

The tasting took place in the newly restored Hacienda building atop a hill overlooking the gorgeous vineyard. We were instantly greeted with a perfectly chilled glass of rosé (yasss) and led to a beautiful rustic patio with amazing views of the white stucco mansion.

Our four wines were paired with small plates of scrumptious farm-to-table bites. Scribe’s wines are naturally made, so it only made sense to sip them while noshing on a crisp summer salad with veggies grown from the garden right behind our table.

After a delicious lunch and wine flight, we grabbed a bottle of rosé (or favorite from the tasting) and roamed the 19th century Hacienda and surrounding gardens. This place was an absolute DREAM!

Looking forward to exploring more wineries soon—hopefully with friends and visitors from ATL!
