Planning a wedding can be stressful, especially in the beginning phases of making, what seems to be, ALL the biggest decisions about your big day.

Selecting a photographer is a decision with countless options, making it crucial for you to choose a photographer with whom you form a meaningful connection. Considering that your photographer will be an integral part of one of the most significant days of your life, it's important to work with someone whose company you genuinely appreciate & who makes you feel completely at ease.

MY APPROACH

My focus is on photographing not just how it looked, but how it felt. My ultimate goal during every session is to make you feel comfortable in front of my lens. My role involves a delicate balance between silently observing and documenting candid moments as they unfold, and actively guiding you through playful, romantic movements.

I try to create an environment that is enjoyable, where people can feel like they can let their guard down to laugh and smile genuinely, or cry and let the tears roll.

Good storytelling is about capturing all of the beautiful moments as they unfold; the joy, the quiet anticipation, the (happy) tear-streaked faces, the (raucous) celebration; all of the beauty and light and love that makes up your day.

I aim to work with clients who value all of those qualities in a photograph and are out to make some amazing art and have a great time while doing it.

I don’t chase perfection—whether it’s a veil caught in the breeze, the smudge of lipstick after a passionate kiss, or the crinkle of a nose during a genuine smile, I treasure it all.

I’m drawn to couples who share this outlook, who value the raw, real emotions of their day over a flawless image. Many of my clients have a passion for creating beautiful, unique details, but what truly matters to them is how their day feels, not just how it looks.

FAQ

  • My style is a combination of documentary and editorial photography. I try to take all of my photos in intimate, relaxed settings using natural light as often as possible. I’m very often complimented by my ability to capture unplanned and spontaneous moments throughout the entire day.

  • Absolutely. 75% of my couples are outside of the city I live in. A travel cost will be provided depending on the location of the wedding. I have traveled from as close to Carmel, to as far as Portugal and Kauai for my couples.

  • Yes! No matter how you identify and regardless of how you define your relationship, I'd love to be a part of your wedding day!

  • Yes! I shoot a mixture of digital and film. I just love the nostalgic feeling that film conveys.

  • I have a list of preferred locations in the San Francisco Bay Area that I’ve chosen based on their lighting and beauty. We are lucky to be close to so many unique backdrops so whether you want to shoot at the beach, in the redwoods, downtown, an iconic San Francisco viewpoint or a beautiful garden, I will recommend the perfect spot for you.

  • Yes! All my 8 hour wedding packages include a second photographer. It’s a great way to get a variety of shots during your big day.

The venue strongly encourages using only their in-house vendors, but Elizabeth is a friend and we really wanted someone who understood our style.
