Anti-bride inspiration

Lately I’ve been seeing the emergence of the “anti-bride” trend all over Instagram and TikTok. As I dug deeper, I realized this wasn’t really a trend at all— it’s just a twist on candid and documentary style wedding photography!

The anti-bride philosophy is simple: ditch the traditions and do what makes YOU happy! If that means wearing sneakers and a short wedding dress— DO IT! If it means jumping into the pool at the end of the night— DO IT! The anti-bride aesthetic is all about being fun and carefree, with an editorial edge.

Some common elements you’ll see with the anti-bride or cool-girl wedding include flash photography, film photography, black & white photos, images with movement or blurred effect, and more candid moments of your wedding day instead of overly-posed portraits.
